Vacuum expectation value renormalization in the standard model and beyond

We show how the renormalization constant of Higgs vacuum expectation value, fixed by a tadpole condition, is responsible for gauge dependences in various definitions parameters $R_{\xi}$-gauge. Then we relationship this to Fleischer-Jegerlehner (FJ) scheme, which used avoid these dependences. In way, also present viewpoint on FJ-scheme complementary ones already existing literature. Additionally, compare and discuss different approaches tadpoles identifying similarities relations between them. The background field discussed.
